Dubai is an outstanding experience for most expatriates. The newly made buildings and villas are more towards some unique and ultra-modern technology like District One Villas for sale in Dubai is a recent example of that. Cynics might claim Dubai is all about wealth, but there’s more to that than just a grain of truth.
Here are some of the positive things about Dubai
MONEY
Let’s get this first – Dubai is the capital, of course – when you get there, you’re going to earn more and keep more here.
What can be the reason except for the economic benefit that you just get away from your own comfort zone and move for at least half a year into an unpleasant climate zone? If money isn’t a really good motivator, only the true risk-takers wouldn’t have continued their venture in Dubai for it.
TAX-FREE
In Dubai or the other UAE emirates, no income tax is imposed. What you get every month is not reduced by 10, 20, 30 or 40% at source – regardless of what your domestic tax colleague takes for good governance.
You may need to spend a day with your home countries’ domestic revenue services, depending on how long you stay and where you come from.
In Dubai, you get paid an amount that equates the earnings for thirteen months a year. This additional month is intended to save money. Some of us go back to countries that do not want to or cannot afford to have pensions, so do not miss that.
CHEAP PETROL
AED 1.68 per litre (currently 95 octanes, daily unleaded costs). This is a gallon of $ US 0.4574 or $US 1.73.
The per litre price can be easily evaluated by some website or a similar currency converter by British or Continental Europeans in their own currencies. In Dubai, you will come up to the same result – gas, gasoline, petrol – no matter what you call it, is cheaper.
CHEAPER CARS
Cars are also cheap. Why is that? Since there is no VAT/GST/IVA sales tax or any sentence your country uses for a summary of direct taxes.
Apply the following cheap test: divide Porsche Cayenne’s costs by your yearly salary. The result is the number of years (or months) of salary required to purchase Porsche in your country of residence.
Then do the same exercise at the expense of your monthly or yearly salary in Dubai. It is for sure you’re going to see Dubai is a very nice place to purchase a Porsche.
Naturally, the salary will also be higher once you live in Dubai. It’s a win-win, therefore, for cheaper cars.
UNIQUE SHOPS
It would seem like this is all about Dubai for the casual, short-term tourist. There’s a lot – no need to say anything else.
You can visit the old sections of town, such as Satwa, Karama, Al Fahidi Lane, Deira and the Al Maktoum Street, but do not simply have to go to the shopping malls and centres during the cooler months instead of exploring these shops. It is interesting, and if you want to eat cheaply, food outlets are worth trying.
FREE PARKING IN THE MALLS
For the drivers, this is nice, particularly in the summer months. Free parking, normally underground, and you can wash your car for the AED 25-30 in most Dubai Malls during your shopping ventures in the mall.
Some of the centres are now noisy about parking charges. You must take a ticket and place the ticket in the slot while you are leaving, but it’s normally 4 hours before you start being charged.
All depends on the venue. Parking in the Hotel is generally free, or rather nominal, as is the case with AED 5.
Some of the larger malls, such as Dubai Mall load up to AED 50.
If you have the sun over you and a car full of children or tourists, it’s a perfect choice, since the parking areas are covered with heat.
Almost everything in the city is positive. You just have to look at the brighter side and for the opportunity, even there are still many opportunities in the real estate of Dubai like in the Port De La Mer apartments for sale, many investors seem interested in purchasing one.
